Robert Crocker

Bob Crocker graduated from BU in 1955 after which he became an intern and later Assistant Baseball and Hockey Coach under Harry Cleverly. When Coach Cleverly retired in 1962, Coach Crocker took over as Head Baseball Coach and Freshman Hockey Coach. He coached varsity baseball eleven seasons from 1963 to 1973.

Bob Crocker’s teams accomplished several firsts for the BU baseball program; His 1965 team was the first Terrier nine to win the Greater Boston League Championship. His 1968 team was the first Terrier nine to advance to the NCAA Tournament. And, his 1969 team advanced to the Regional Finals of the NCAA Tournament coming one out away from advancing to the NCAA College World series in Omaha Nebraska.

After leaving Boston University Bob was Varsity Hockey coach at the University of Pennsylvania for four years. He later became a Scout for several National Hockey League Teams, and remains a Scout for the L.A. Kings.
